Brittany Machado, Contributing Content Strategy

Brittany Machado is a content strategist and producer with deep roots in inclusion and equity. California born & bred, Brittany earned her M.A. in the social sciences from the University of Chicago. After a career in higher education and public policy research, she transitioned to media and entertainment. Her first job was in post-production on Grimm (NBC), from which she bounced across the street to Warner Bros. where she managed the WB Television Workshop, a talent discovery and diversity pipeline program for the studio. While at Warner Bros. Brittany also built out the WB Digital Network studio Stage 13 where she worked as a creative executive and stood up the scripted studio operations. In 2019, two of the shows she worked on were nominated for Emmys. She also continues to produce independent fiction and nonfiction projects.

Brittany is now a consultant specializing in content strategy, partnership development, and digital education. Her clients include The Sundance Institute (Sundance Co//ab), Cinema Femme Magazine, Young Entertainment Activists!, Knowable, Blue Wire, and private clients. The crews and teams she hires are consistently at least 50% womxn and people of color.
