Coffee Confessionals: Breaking Out of Imposter Syndrome
Moderated by Christina Raia and Bri Castellini of the Breaking Out of Breaking In podcast
When: Friday, April 29th 11:00 AM PT / 2:00 PM ET (60 minutes)
GET PASS (All-Access and Special Events)
Event Description: Pulling from submitted confessions by filmmakers and encouraging attendees to weigh in live, Christina and Bri will moderate a conversation about how to better understand, confront, and overcome imposter syndrome, based on their podcast episode on the same subject.
Event Structure: After an introduction to the moderators and their podcast, Christina and Bri use the submitted confessions to structure the event around instances of imposter syndrome that feel similar to one another, first unpacking the anonymous ones amongst ourselves but ensuring there’s space if anyone in the audience has something to advise or contribute. Then, we’ll ask for submitters and attendees who’d like to speak about their own experiences and struggles with imposter syndrome, moderating a safe space discussion to unpack this awful phenomenon together, ending the discussion with some actionable strategies to be mindful of its encroachment in the future.

Through this presentation you’ll learn the basics of branding, figuring out what that looks like for you, and setting terms and expectations for your social media.
Event structure:
After Kim and Dani introduce themselves, they’ll lead a presentation introducing the difference between a personal and business brand, common fears of personal branding, and show the attendees how to begin exploring their own brand. In the presentation, they will share recap slides after each micro section. The workshop portion of the presentation is when Kim and Dani will invite attendees to share 3 key changes they will make to their social media presence or 3 sample posts intend to share and offer feedback on content and strategy. Answering any questions the attendees have, TLL also intends to distribute a digital PDF to summarize the event.
