Cinema Femme is a platform for emerging underrepresented filmmakers, which includes women and non-binary people. To support these filmmakers, we showcase their short films, provide education through featured interviews, and offer mentorship with seasoned filmmakers. We are vocal about the need for change onscreen and behind the lens. We believe that together we can change the industry for the better.

Open Positions

Cinema Femme Short Film Festival – Social Media Director ($500) – position filled

Commitment period (4/1/24 – 5/2/24)

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Creating branding for this year’s festival based on our illustrated image (attached)
  • Putting together a social media toolkit for Media Partners, last year’s example
  • Gathering filmmaker assets (trailers/stills/headshots/bios) for social media posts (we will be collecting assets from the filmmakers)
  • All the selected filmmakers will submit one-minute videos, as the Social Media Director you will promote the filmmaker on our IG and TikTok
  • Be at the festival and promote during events (we will also have a photographer that can help with images)
  • Implement sponsor posts, and promote businesses that are donating to our silent auction (we will start gathering assets soon for that)
  • Create a posting schedule with the Creative Director.
  • Be available for 2 meetings a week starting the week of 4/1, and then more hours around the fest time.

Cinema Femme is interested in coverage of festival films and events that are with female and non-binary filmmakers (interviews and reviews). We also are interested in personal essays and reviews by female and non-binary writers. Payment is based upon experience and coverage. Please email pitches to cinemafemme@cinemafemme.com.
