The immensity of the world is humbling, and the amount of women on this planet is empowering. What’s amazing about this world is that we are always evolving, and it’s exciting! With this evolvement, we see changes in ourselves and in our world.

Personally, I’d like to think that the changes in my life stem from my passions. I’m passionate about women’s stories through the lens of film. It is important that these stories are seen and heard. To celebrate International Women’s Day, I’d like to highlight some films directed by women who are great storytellers. See below!

Kirsten Johnson, “Cameraperson” (2016)

Pamela B. Green, “Be Natural” (2018)

Marjane Satrapi, “Persepolis” (2007)

Sally Potter, “Orlando” (1993)

Amma Asante, “Belle” (2013)

Sarah Polley, “Stories We Tell” (2013)

Chloé Zhao, “The Rider“ (2018)

Carla Simón, “Summer 1993” (2018)

Sofia Coppola, “Lost in Translation” (2003)
