“What was beautiful about this showcase were the conversations. We talked about the late Lynn Shelton with Kris Rey, the power of living and breathing characters with Isabel Sandoval, “Shiva Baby” director Emma Seligman talked about the importance of self care when you’re making your first feature, Cheri Oteri retraced her road to SNL, Annarosa Mudd spoke to “Jen, 28” creator Jessica Sharples about consent, and our selected filmmakers got to discuss their remarkable shorts with screenwriter and filmmaker Deborah Goodwin. I’m very grateful for all of these experiences. Here are our highlights.” – Rebecca Martin, Cinema Femme founder

Our April Showcase has officially come to an end. Congratulations to all the filmmakers who were selected, and thank you to our moderators and special guests. Have a great weekend everyone. Enjoy our highlight video, and cheers to female filmmakers. 🥂 🍻
